Who we are

We’re Tiny Village Cartagena—
Meet our ecosystem of friends, adventure-seekers, culture enthusiasts, art + music lovers, envi- ronmentalists, foodies, party-goers, explorers and more....

A community of diverse locals & travelers from around the world.

Together, we are creating a travel experience crafted through the lens of the local vibe.

To us, no one is considered tourists, because we believe in con- necting and finding your tribe, your home wherever you are.

When we started the Tiny Village Cartagena Boutique Resort project in 2017, we made a conscious effort to not be just another beach bar

and boutique hotel, but at Tiny Village a good time + stay is always coupled with doing good for the world around us (we call that eco-leisure).

Come visit us on the Island of Tierra Bomba — less than 15 minute boat ride from the city center of Cartagena!

Our Story

Our story originated in December 2016 when our founder Akil King made his first trip to Cartagena. Captivated by the city’s architecture, beaches, and rich culture, Akil immediately fell in love with the city. Fusing his passion for efficient design, historical architecture and cultural awareness, the vision of Tiny Village Cartagena was born. You can learn more about the story in our Mini-documentary.

The project has been in development since 2017 and our vision has been to set a new standard for innovation, design and cultural and environmental awareness in hotel industry!

Now we are finally at a point where we can see the light at the end of the tunnel — and we need your help! We are asking that you support our amazing project to help us launch by Q1 2023!
